Getting a card is easy, provided you are at least 16 years of age and resident in the Republic of Ireland. Follow these steps and begin using your An Post Currency Card instantly.

2. Bring it to the post office

Take the application to your local participating post office

3. Bring proof of ID & address

Bring valid photo ID and proof of address like a bank statement

An Post Money Currency Card is issued by Wirecard Card Solutions Ltd (“WDCS”) pursuant to license by Mastercard International Inc. WDCS is ised by the Financial Conduct ity to conduct electronic money service activities under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (Ref: 900051).

An Post is ised by the Minister for Finance to provide payment services and is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland in the provision of such services.Mastercard is a registered trademark, and the circles design is a trademark of Mastercard International Incorporated. An Post Money Currency Card is issued by Wirecard Card Solutions Ltd (“WDCS”) pursuant to license by Mastercard International Inc. WDCS is ised by the Financial Conduct ity in the UK  to conduct electronic money service activities under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (Ref: 900051) and is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland for conduct of business rules.

Ireland’s Number one currency provider is based on a nationally representative online survey carried out by Millward Brown on behalf of An Post in April 2019. Sample of 1,107 adults aged 16-64. Quotas were set on gender, age and region. The margin of error is +/- 3.0% at its highest point.
